Nearly at the finish line

Yeah! I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I seem to be finishing the editing process of my first book, Briefs - A collection of short stories.

If you are wondering what they are about, this is what the blurb on the back of the book says:

'How many ways are there to leave a lover? The answer is surely far, far fewer than there are ways to recover.

Like most lovers left, Tanya Thistleton's characters refuse the victims cloak, accept the travails of change and in the end find salvation. Some, just some, even sup on cold revenge.

There are other vignette pieces here too, of the lawyer and virginity, and of course, a dragon.'

Sounds impressive, even if I say so myself. Now to the bit about the author. Again something I might ask my beloved husband to help with.

The other night I searched what other authors have written about themselves and found amusing stories. I loved the author who described her relationship with her husband as 'barely on speaking terms', or the author who described their town, house and family as ordinary.

Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon I can resubmit the final version of my book to get it out there for purchase.

Then on to marketing. Does it ever end? Don't feel the need to answer this by the way.

Of course once this book is available for sale I have to finish my other two books waiting to be edited and write another collection of short stories and so on and so on. I do enjoy short stories, don't you?

Time to retire for the day I think.

Bis zum naechsten mal - Tschuess!

I could pretend this is Bavaria?! For those who want to know where this is, it is Mount Hotham North East Victoria (just a little imagination and....:))
